It's happening!

The Toora Primary School community is currently witnessing the building of their new school! Considine and Johnston, the builders, are completing the frame this week. Haskell Architects are overseeing the project.

I recon it would be so awesome if we could have laptops, and a quiet area that isn't out of bounds plus new coloured tables and chairs.

I recently had my house built and the new school is looking just like it. I think it will look just gorgeous. Is the new school going to get new outdoor tables?

We are getting chickens so are we still going to feed our scraps to the worms in the compost?

Wow, I wonder what our new school is going to look like. I wonder if we will have showers. Can we have laptops? Can we have a canteen?

The new school is looking good. Do you think it will look fantastic? I reckon we should have laptops. It would be great if we could have coloured tables.

How big is the school going to be and how long is the school going to be?

Hi Mason,

I'm hoping the new school will look fantastic. The idea of having laptops is good too as they take up much less space than the desktops and are portable.

What colour would you like the tables to be? When you read the comments from other students you will see there are already a few suggestions.

I hope you blog again soon.

Dear Alana,

what sort of play equipment would you like? We will move over the pieces that are in good order and perhaps we will have funding to purchase extra pieces.

I hope the rain doesn't hold up the building process too much. We need to complete the frame before the trusses and roof can go up.

Hi Elli,

what is one thing that you think we should have in the new school?

Hi Ashley,

We hope to have laptops in the new school as they are easily accessed.

We will have some funding for new furniture. What sort of tables would you like?

Hi Kourtney,

thanks for posting your ideas on the blog. Do you think flouro pink might be too bright some mornings? What other colours do you like? Would a more conservative colour for the tables be okay if we had bright coloured cushions or chairbags or lockers?

Hi Bonnie,

I saw that you could get different coloured netbooks and laptops. What colour would you like?

Hi Kate,

What colours would you like for the tables and chairs? And what shaped tables would you like?

Tell us more about the quiet area you would like in the new school?

Hi Ebony,

How is your new house?

We will need some new outdoor furniture because not all the outdoor furniture that we have is in good order - some pieces are a little wobbly. We will need to decide where the outdoor furniture will go.

Once we have our 5 star henhouse (project funded through School Focused Youth Services) we will certainly be needing to feed our food scraps to our chickens. Any design ideas?

From Mrs Purvis.

Hi Rochell,

I'm glad you think our new school is going to be amazing. We will have one shower in the first aid room. The cooking space will be shared with the staff room so we wont have a canteen as such. How are you enjoying the lunch orders now that we are not running canteen?

We hope our funding will provide laptops.

Hi Lenny,

I'm not quite sure of the measurements of the new school but they will be on the plan. The plans are on display in the office area and you are welcome to come and have a look. (I'll look up the measurements and get back to you with the figures.)

Are there any features you particularly want in the new school?
